Prerequisites
Content (Syllabus outline)
In the first part, the content of the course on police law covers the position and role of the police in the national security system of the Republic of Slovenia, as well as the development of police activity in the country. In the second part, the course deals with the organization and work of the Ministry of the Interior and the Police at the national, regional and local levels. In the continuation, the course briefly deals with the repressive and other supervisory state authorities, and appropriately places the Police, its tasks and powers within them. In the central part, the course deals comprehensively with the basic tasks of the police, the use of individual powers and coercive means of police officers, their status and their rights and duties. At the end, some other police powers are also discussed e.g. control over the work of the Police, complaints against police officers and certain powers deriving from other regulations and the Code of Police Ethics.
