Memberships in international associations
ELFA association
In 2016, the European Faculty of Law of the New University became an official member of the renowned international association of law faculties ELFA – European Law Faculty Association. The association was founded in 1995 in Leuven by more than 80 law schools from all over Europe. Today, the organization already has more than 200 members from countries inside and outside the EU and acts as an international forum for discussing a wide range of legal topics related to legal education.
The aim of ELFA’s activities is to coordinate the process of legal education reform in Europe, to promote cooperation between universities in Europe and to represent European law faculties in relation to European institutions, national educational institutions and professional associations in the field of justice.
The European Faculty of Law of the New University, with its active membership in the mentioned association, strives to upgrade the existing international activity of the faculty and to further raise the quality of legal education in Slovenia and the EU.
