Content (Syllabus outline)
Fundamentals of legal writing.
Composing of legal motions and individual normative legal acts.
Composing of general legal acts.
Characteristics of legal professions (entering conditions and codes of conduct).
Carrying out of internship and writing a report.
Forms of legal motions and individual acts with typical examples of these acts.
Relevant parts of legislation on the organization of various legal professions and professional codes of conduct.
Objectives and competences
On the basis of their theoretical knowledge previously obtained, students will learn certain practical skills that lawyers need in their daily practice.
Intended learning outcomes
Learning of basics of the practical application of theoretical knowledge previously obtained.
Learning and teaching methods
In the first phase the lecturer will present to students some basics of legal writing, then they will go together through various legal motions and individual as well as general legal acts that are daily composed in legal practice. In the second phase, the students will be assigned to practicing mentors who will train them in legal skills for a certain number of hours. After that practical training the students are required to make a report of that training.
What is evaluated (in numerical grades 5-10) is the final report of the practical training, upon recommendation by the practicing mentor.
