International conference “Legal Disintegration in the European Union”
The Department of Law, Aarhus University; the School of Law and Government, Dublin City University; and the Centre for European and Comparative Legal Studies (CECS), and the Centre of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts) at the Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen will host a major international conference on ‘Legal Disintegration in the European Union’, on Thursday 15 March 2018 and Friday 16 March 2018 at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
Convened by Graham Butler and Federico Fabbrini, the conference will hear from a number of prominent speakers, exploring the paradigms, practice, and prospects of legal disintegration in the European Union. Centring on a number of themes, it will offer an in-depth discussion on the nature of legal disintegration in the EU, and its full ramifications that it has for the EU legal order. The conference themes include: The paradigms of European integration; Structural forms of flexible integration; Construction of European constitutional design; Destruction of European constitutional design; Reconstruction: Shaping integration and taming disintegration
